"Justin Garza is a multi-instrumental session player from Winchester, KY. Music has been a passion since the first time he picked up a guitar at age 7. Since then he has spent over 15 years writing, recording, producing, and touring with many artists and bands from across the globe. He can be seen with any artist that gives him a call, usually in the central kentucky and nashville music scene, but is a cowriter/producer with his lifetime songwriting brother for Kids in Revival. Justin's notable performances include headlining festivals across New York, Ohio, and West Virginia and opening for national acts such as Jo Dee Messina, Chris Cagle, Craig Campbell, as well as session work for executives at Disney, Sony, and countless other local studios. BackBeat has been a crucial part of my setup since fellow BackBeat artist Carsen Richards lent me his at a rehearsal a few years back. It gives me the freedom to move around - and get a massage at the same time.
Norm Stockton travels extensively throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. He has been profiled in Bass Player magazine and is recognized by many as one of today's premier bassists. From 2006 to 2012 he was the touring and recording bassist with chart-topping worship artist (and former Steve Perry guitarist) Lincoln Brewster. Norm has also performed or recorded with a number of Grammy-winning artists. As a solo artist, he has released three instrumental jazz projects that have garnered widespread global acclaim. His latest project,Grooves & Sushi, is a web series & album featuring many iconic, world-class musicians.
Andreas Reinhard has been a professional bass player for over 20 years now, after studying pop and jazz at the Arnhem University of the Arts. As a freelancer, he has played countless concerts from Germany to China and from LatinJazz to Rock. He is happy to pass on his musical know-how and enthusiasm for music. As a bass coach he is teaching bass online around the world. Andreas online community "Andys Bass Camp“ contains workshops and video courses. Today on the road with different artists, in-ear monitors have become the new normal and Andreas is happy to feel his bass playing again in every situation with his new BackBeat. I am Jason (Jay Lee) Downing, a Colorado native with 30+ years of music experience. Seems like I’ve done it all - Professional pilot, College professor, video producer and photographer. Out of all the things I’ve accomplished professionally, music is my all time favorite. There's nothing like the feeling of playing a live show - and I LOVE playing bass. I am lucky enough to tour full-time and still have time to be a Dad to my daughter Taylor (named after the guitar, not the singer). I always strive to play the best gear (Xotic and Sandberg basses) and I was lucky enough to find Backbeat; I simply cannot play a show with out it!

I feel lucky that I studied Jazz in Leeds, UK and love the playing styles of James Jamerson, Pino Pallidino and Chris Wood. My main bass of choice is a Moollon P5 which I always use with Daddario strings, Noble PreAmp and preferably playing through an Aguilar Tone Hammer 700 for personal use and the standard SVT Classic in festival settings. I welcome the Backbeat. I personally found that it physically enhanced the playing experience each time I used it and exponentially increased the feeling of the music. This enabled my confidence to high right out of the gate of the show and lock in on the first beat.
Eva began performing with live bands in her hometown of Los Angeles at the age of 14. Deciding to further her musical studies, she attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Eva continued her studies at UCLA, graduating with honors, and earning a degree in Ethnomusicology. Her professional career began when she toured and recorded as the original bassist in The Mars Volta in 2001/2002. Since then, Eva has performed and toured with numerous artists worldwide, including P!nk, Gwen Stefani, Cher, Tegan & Sara, Moby and Veruca Salt.

Josh Ham has been playing bass since 12, but has been surrounded by music all of his life. He was raised in a very musical house; his mum is a classical pianist, his dad a jazz saxophonist, older brother a metal guitarist and electronic producer, and his younger brother a hip hop dancer and theater choreographer.
After having gigged the Melbourne scene for a few years, Josh began touring the globe at just 21 years old. He has played with varying groups of all styles, including: Soul, Reggae, Hardcore/Prog, Electronic, Folk, and Alternative. He’s now globetrotting with Planetshakers, reaching over 150 nations worldwide with his big & bold bass playing. Josh is also an esteemed DJ and a music producer for Planetboom, Planetshakers church’s youth band.
Josh has performed live for millions, sometimes hundreds of thousands at a time, but is much more passionate about performing for an audience of One. To quote Jurassic 5, “if you ain’t giving God the praise then it’s useless."

My name is Carsen Richards - I'm a Nashville-based touring bassist from Eastern Kentucky. I got into bass through country music, specifically Jason Aldean. Tully Kennedy is a huge part of his sound, and his playing style and tone are what drew me to bass. He's since become a close friend and mentor. I'm a simple player when it comes to gear: Sadowsky basses, Aguilar amps, Dean Markley strings, Red Monkey Designs straps. But my favorite piece of gear I own is my BackBeat. I've used it for about 4 years - 2 touring with Chase Matthew. That's 4 years of nonstop road use, at least 400 shows, multiple states and countries.
